Kick off your weekend right! Leave work early (we won't tell your boss), pick-up your friends and family and hang out in the Museum's Heritage Courtyard on Friday afternoons while listening to musical performances or fun presentations from members of our community. Bring a picnic blanket and snacks, enjoy the show and then head into Old Town for your Friday evening. Details on each FAC are available on the Museum's website. Access to the Heritage Courtyard is always free during Museum business hours.

Annual Fourth of July race that features a 5K walk/run around City Park.

Old Fashioned July 4th at the Avery House
Come enjoy a gone by era. Life was at a slower pace, and Independence Day was still a day of family, community and fun. The Avery House (328 W. Mountain Ave.) hosts a full day of historic activities, games, food and fun. Just 3 blocks west of College Ave, come enjoy this free celebration as part of your Downtown Fort Collins experience!

All proceeds benefit Pathways for Grief and Loss programs for children and teens and bereavement outreach and education for local school districts.

Loveland Loves BBQ ~ Loveland

Nestled beneath the majestic Rocky Mountains, Loveland, Colorado is host to the fourth annual Loveland Loves Barbecue cook-off. Competition is Friday, July 9th from Noon to 9pm and Saturday, July 10th from 11am to 6pm at the southwest corner of Cleveland and 5th street in historic downtown Loveland. Judging will include the big four - beef brisket, chicken, pork ribs, and pulled pork. Entries of sauces, desserts, side dishes, and "anything goes" will also be judged.

Greeley's annual Arts Picnic Kickoff Concert presents Denver's best dance band, FUNKIPHINO, on the 9th Street Plaza located across the street from Lincoln Park. So grab your picnic basket and a lawn chair and head to the 9th Street Plaza for a wonderful evening of music under the stars. Free admission! Free refreshments! And don’t forget your dancin’ shoes!

Historic Lincoln Park will again be transformed into one of the largest free arts festivals in northern Colorado. Over 175 juried exhibitors will gather for the 32nd Annual Greeley Arts Picnic to sell their handmade wares ranging from soap, silver jewelry and segmented bowls to candles, kids toys and caricatures! Be sure and sample some of the hearty fare including Greek gyros, smothered burritos and smoked turkey legs in the food court or enjoy a "cold one" while relaxing and unwinding in the beer garden. Featured are more than 25 of the best Colorado entertainers performing everything from Celtic rock to country swing and rhythm and blues to rock 'n roll. Parents can find musicians, magicians and puppeteers as well as a kids hands-on area! This top-rated festival is a wonderful place to spend the day with the whole family.

Rooftop Rodeo ~ Estes Park

Location: Rodeo Arena Fairgrounds at Stanley Park

Nominated in 2009 as the Outstanding Small Rodeo in the nation, the 2010 Rooftop Rodeo will kick off with a colorful parade on Tuesday, July 6 at 10:30 am in downtown Estes Park. Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) cowboys compete in saddle bronco riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, bareback bronco riding, barrel racing and bull riding. Midway activities begin at 5:30 pm with the rodeo starting at 7:30 pm.

Ticket Price: General Admission: $17; Children $5, senior and military discounts available
